⌚ Setting the Time has an offset, System logs in UTC

The following behavior of your Core S(p) might appear after updating to V5.3 SR2.
When you experience that your Core S(p) with Version V5.3 SR2 logs in UTC and setting the time results in an offset that corresponds to the difference of the local time to UTC, then the following workaround may help:
  1. Open the WebUI ("Configuration" button).
  2. Insert credentials, if necessary.
  3. Click on "Settings" tab.
  4. In section "Date and Time Settings" change the Time Zone to something different and press the "Apply" button.
--> A message appears that the Timezone has been changed.
  5. In section "Date and Time Settings" change the Time Zone again to the desired Time Zone and press the "Apply" button.
--> A message appears that the Timezone has been changed.
  6. Restart the Core S(p), e.g. by removing and adding the power connector or by clicking the "Maintenance" tab and Clicking the "Restart the device" button.
After the restart, your Core S(p)
  • should log with local time.
  • should do a correct change when setting the time.
