e:cue Knowledge Base - Update SYMPL Core Sp from V5.4 SR2 (or earlier) to V5.5 SR2 fails

In short: if you want to update a SYMPL Core Sp from V5.4 SR2 (or earlier) to latest version, first update to V5.5 SR1 and then to V5.5 SR2.

Potentially affected devices: only SYMPL Core Sp, only if running V5.4 SR2 or earlier, only if update to V5.5 SR2 is to be done.

Problem: the Web-Update and the USB-Update might cause that the new version of Sympholight does not start. If so, the Master/Slave LED will not light up in blue. (Blue means, Sympholight is running.)
Solutions: USB-Update to V5.5 SR1 or earlier.

If V5.5 or V5.5 SR1 is installed, then update to V5.5 SR2 is possible without any problem.

Additional information:

SYMPL Core S is not affected (only supported until V5.5).

SYMPL Fusion is not affected (only supported since V5.5).
